Creating a Healthy Routine

Of all the different things you can try to improve your productivity, a morning routine is one of the most effective. Morning routines set the tone for your upcoming day. They can also super-empower you to be patient, emotionally intelligent, and use critical thinking skills instead of emotionally reacting to stressors.



So what type of morning energizes you?

  • Quiet and contemplative?

  • Vigorous with exercise?

  • Creative and free?

  • Connecting and social?

  • Stepping outdoors or staying indoors?

Just remember that work, paying bills, cleaning, cooking, shopping, exercising, getting enough sleep, and taking care of children are just some of the things everyone does each day. It is easy to be overwhelmed. If you’re struggling with a mental or emotional health concern like depression or anxiety, it can feel impossible to get everything done and then try to take care of yourself. So why not put yourself first?




Consider organizing your day in such a way that taking care of yourself come first, even if it means getting up a bit earlier than normal.
