Job Description

As the Shopkeeper you will be the first person guests meet, so personality and warmth is integral to success in this role. As the Shopkeeper you will have the main responsibility of leading our customer's experience in the candle shop.

Aside from helping guests, you will also maintain the presentation of our retail goods, manage pickup and ecommerce orders. We host a welcoming space for all types of people.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoy welcoming new faces everyday, can build report, and will learn our offerings enough to help guest find something that they will love.

Job Type (Part-time Employee)

The standard work shift is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 11am - 7pm. Flex days/hours for inventory, packaging, markets, and vendor events may increase based on seasonal shop needs.

General Requirements

Reliable transportation to and from the studio.
Exceptional communicator (talking and listening).
U.S. work authorization.
Regular attendance.
Ability to work well with others in a public retail space.

Physical Requirements

Can help move furniture when needed.
Ability to occasionally lift 50-60 pound packages.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.

Responsibilities

Help us maintain a happy environment and excellent customer service.
Maintain the candle shop through regular restocking and cleaning.
Ability to organize a presentable display of goods.
Manage all store signage and pricing.
Greet customers and guide them to choices they will enjoy.
Booking and welcoming workshop attendees into our space.
Helping to process online orders.
Willing to be visible and help promote the shop and/or products through our social channels.

Education/Credentials

High school education/GED required

This is an entry level, customer facing opportunity. We are in our fifth year of growth and this phase is intense but fun! Our space has become larger and so are our goals. As we grow there will be opportunity to grow your skills in other positions such as marketing, product design, sales, etc.

Job Description

Get ready to host a great time! Our Workshop Hosts helps our guests make their own candles and scented goods. This role's main responsibility is being a helpful resource to our customers and guide them in creating with a fun and memorable experience. This role can be challenging as groups can range in size from 2 - 20. We host a welcoming space for all types of people. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being social, crafty, and would like to make some extra cash around the weekend.

Job Type (Part-time Employee)

Shifts are available Thursday and Friday 3pm - 7pm, and Saturday from 11am - 7pm. There are flex days for candle parties that will be scheduled around your availability. Weekly hours can range from a 8 - 22 hours per week. Hours and shift times vary based on workshop demands.
