 Job Description 

Get ready to host a great time! Our Workshop Hosts helps our guests make their own candles and scented goods. This role's main responsibility is being a helpful resource to our customers and guide them in creating with a fun and memorable experience. This role can be challenging as groups can range in size from 2 - 20.  We host a welcoming space for all types of people. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being social, crafty, and would like to make some extra cash around the weekend.

Job Type (Part-time Employee)

Shifts are available Thursday and Friday 3pm - 7pm, and Saturday from 11am - 7pm. There are flex days for candle parties that will be scheduled around your availability. Weekly hours can range from a 8 - 22 hours per week. Hours and shift times vary based on workshop demands. 

 

General Requirements

• Reliable transportation to and from Lowe Mill.

• Exceptional communicator (listening and speaking).

• Exceptional at following multistep directions.

• Exceptional at multitasking.

• A desire to be managed and mentored.

• U.S. work authorization.

• Regular attendance.

• Ability to work well with others in a public retail space.

Physical Requirements

• Exceptional fine motor skills when handling liquids over 180 degrees.

• An ability to follow recipes and adapt them with basic math.

• An ability to move/lift 50-60 pound packages.

• An ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.

• An ability to physically work closely with others.

 

Responsibilities

• Help us maintain a happy environment and 5-star rating though excellent customer service.

• Greet guests for workshops and entertain and instruct them throughout the experience.

• Maintain the workshop and Maker's kitchen with regular and thorough cleaning.

• Maintain our stock of ingredients including collection of fragrance oils (over 300).

• Willing to be visible and help promote the shop and/or products through our social channels.

Education/Credentials

• High school education/GED required

This is an entry level, customer facing opportunity. We are in our fifth year of growth and this phase is intense but fun! Our space has become larger and so are our goals. One great benefit you will have as we grow is having awareness to grow your skills in other positions such as social media marketing, product development, sales, etc.
